senior night 2007

hey guys!

tonight was senior night at school, and o lawd, it was so much fun. i cried twice, once when we walked out on the field and then again when our band director talked to just the seniors. he was like, "seniors, i need to talk to you..." so we all went over there and huddled around him like we always do. he just looked at us, and he was like, "you guys...i love you guys, you're the best senior class i've ever had.. i just, i just want you guys to have fun, and i just called you over here so i could give each of you a hug."

I BAWLED.

it was just, i mean.. we're his BABIES. we were in our first year of highschool band when he joined us, so it's kinda like we were starting this thing together. i don't know. i'm just a softie.

after the game (which we won, 21-0) me, michael, clayton, cody, and some of the other guys showed up at our local waffle house. asdflkj i ate half of an all star breakfast and was like omg full. paul showed up later, which was nice. me and clayton messed with the jukebox there at waffle house, and lol it was so funny 'cause we were like, yayayyayyayaya BROWN EYED GIRL so he put two quarters in.. and nothing happened, lol. he was like, "WTF I BETTER GET WHAT I PAID FOR, BETCH." it was funny. it eventually played though xDD;;

so yeah, tonight was a blast. i just hope we win our next football game, 'cause we all know what that means: playoffs!

Violence in schools and among youth is a serious problem and has increased dramatically over the past few years, leaving behind parents, school officials, and law enforcement officials worried, confused, and concerned in its dust. A new program, Mosaic-2000, is used by school and law enforcement officials to “filter out” the “good” kids from the “bad” kids based on a series of questions. However, individuals have mixed feelings on the project. “The Ohio chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union has criticized the pilot program,” writer Francis X. Clines states in his essay, “Computer Project Seeks to Advert Youth Violence,” “as a technological Band-Aid driven by profiteering in parental fears” (287). When the term “Band-Aid” is mentioned, we tend to think more childish—we put Band-Aids on small problems; however, violence in schools is a much larger problem. We use the word Band-Aid to cover up problems, hiding them from our sight and making the problem underneath seem as if it’s no big deal, when in reality the problem is still there.

Gah, I think my internet is messing up, oh well. It's going sooo slow! Which means my Gurren Lagann download is SLOWWW ; _; It's been on 57% for like an hour. x _x;

Anyway, one of my friends and fellow colorguard member celebrated her bday today :D It was great! We all went to eat mexican food (yum, heartburn!) and aha, it was great. Her boyfriend brought her a dozen roses, too. It was cute.

I was browsing through my C: drive today and I found some pictures I took a long time ago with a really shitty digital webcam/camera. I spiffyd them up in photoshop a bit and I think they turned out quite nice :D

I'm also really looking into getting a lomography camera. I found a starter kit on amazon.com for $54.99.. my birthday is next month, and I'm hoping my parents will look into it 8D It'll be a fun hobby, thanks karie for getting me into it. XD

our air conditioner at work went out today :C IT WAS LIKE HELL IN THAT STORE, omg. especially in arkansas, the HUMIDITY was horrible, it didn't help that it was 100° in the shade, omg. and its like, what, almost october. wtfffff is wrong with the earth. i was so sweaty and nasty, i didn't really feel like helping anybody or doing ANYTHING. :C like, people would come in and be like, "OMG WHY U HAVE NO AIR?" ... CAUSE IT BROKE, OK. so um. it sucked.

OMG WTF I JUST REALIZED this computer doesn't have MICROSOFT WORD. o ___________o;;;; WHAT COMPUTER DOESNT HAVE MICROSOFT WORD. SERIOUSLY.

ohhh god i don't want to do this paper, all i want to do is draw and watch gurren lagann, and sleep, and eat food, and draw kamina, and get money.

you ever been in a state of sheer tiredness that you want to sleep but you can't, you want to do this but you can't, you want to do a lot of things but just can't 'cause you just don't have the energy? it SUCKS is what it does, and i have it right now. there's a TON of things i could be doing, but no, what am i doing? i'm writing in livejournal, 'cause thats just what i have the energy for. x _x gah, i feel so lazy, i don't even want to draw, i can't even draw if i tried. UGH.

i hate being tired. i just wish i could sleep for a week. it's almost 12:00 am and i still have to take a shower, i want to just wait til in the morning, but oh well, i'll have more time in the morning to like, straighten my hair and stuff if i shower tonight.

am i rambling? 'cause it seems like i am. i've misspelled so many words during this entry it's not even funny.

soo um, today was good. I spent yet another PE hour painting the football field with huge stencils of numbers and arrows, it was quite entertaining. I almost got killed by the "touch" football players (even though I really think that they ignored the touch part) yet again, but yeah, that's routine. Our band did good tonight performing on the field, me and the guard captain, Christiana, were so proud of everyone, we did really good for learning 7 pages of drill in like, 3 days. mmm, it was nice. After the game, I went to 5th Quarter at one of my friend's church, it was sooo much fun. I won a Spider-Man battery powered toothbrush as a door prize, it's so kickass. lols, anything with Spiderman has to be amazing, amirite?

Anyway, we're sitting here fixing to watch a movie so I think I'm gonna rocket. =]

i went to one of my best friend's houses last night for a sleepover. let me tell you, it was very nice. it was so good to just... go back and hang out again. not having to worry about being somewhere at this time, or being back by this time... it was just fun. after about twenty minutes of egyptian rat screw (a VERY fun card game) we ended up talking about alcohol...it was actually kinda amusing, some parts XD; jeez, what would i be like if i was a drunk?

let's not think about it.. i'd probably be SO SICK. not just because i'd be a "lightweight" or whatever, but because of my freakin body mass...which isn't much.
lol.
i guess it's a good thing i don't drink XD;

anyway, i've been kinda bumming around... i went to work yesterday, it was a lot smoother than the first day, of course. i really, really love my job. i don't care if it doesn't get a lot of good pay or hours, i love my job. so yeah, pretty fun. lol, me and the manager (jessie) couldn't get the cash drawer open yesterday...turns out you have to actually turn the receipt printer ON before you try to get cash XD; heh.

who would have guessed.
